500 Word Short Story Competition
St Benedict’s 500 word short story competition.
This week saw the launch of our annual 500 word short story competition. We are grateful to St Edmund’s to allow us to visit them and invite the Year 6 students to participate in the event. The competition is open to students from Year 6 to Year 9. All winners in each age category will receive a prize and have the opportunity to be published in BAM ( Bennie’s Arts Magazine) The theme for this year is change. You can incorporate change in many different ways into your story. For example, you could consider a change in circumstances, a magical change, a change of the seasons or focusing on a character who initiates a change.
All entries must be typed. They should be clearly named with the student’s tutor group, and should be handed into Mrs Wray (J5) by November 20th. The standard is always very high , so we are looking forward to your entries for this year.
