On Monday students at St Benedict’s had the privilege of receiving a visit from Dr Damian O'Flynn, PhD from Multimatic Engineering a company that innovates in the field of automotive engineering. We were given a highly informative talk on automotive engineering and the possible pathways into this field. 

Dr O’Flynn also spoke about the importance of engineering in the modern world in all its forms meaning it was an eye opening experience for all those interested in any form of engineering. 

We were all in for a surprise at the end of the talk as Dr O’Flynn had also brought with him a priceless treasure, a prototype Ford GT, one of the most innovative in the field and a fine example of true automotive engineering, the car has a top speed of 235mph!!!
